Twice the talent: To students at Rincon Middle School, Roger Alden Anderson is known as the music and chorus teacher. But Anderson's talents aren't limited to music. He has displayed his artwork at The Escondido Municipal Art Gallery, in Escondido California. One work Called the “Helmet Of Truth” at The Nature Vs Nurture exhibit, October 09, as well two works, “The Black Sun “and “I hear The Roar Of The Sea”, in the Summation 2009 art show (Both juried shows).
Art and music have played important parts in Anderson's life since childhood. It wasn't until college that he decided music might be a more practical career path.
He has an extensive resume as an Orchestral Conductor and Chorale Director including Conducting at Carnegie Hall and directing many professional Concerts in Spain and Portugal as well as San Diego.
Along with teaching at Rincon, Anderson is also the Director of Choral and Instrumental Activities for the Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church.
He squeezes his drawing into gaps between classes or when the students are packing up instruments.
